Mette Carla Albrechtsen is an award-winning Danish director known for her work in commercial and documentary film.
Her career is marked by a strong visual style and a focus on social issues, earning her international recognition, including a Silver Lion at Cannes Lions for Voiceless Women in 2019 and D&AD Impact Pencil.
In 2024, she won the True Awards for Best Film and Director for Pass It On, a film highlighting intergenerational knowledge transfer for the European Parliament.
As a documentary filmmaker, her latest film, A Place in the Sun, premiered at CPH:DOX in competition and is currently traveling the international festivals.
